Former Senator Jackson Piper, humiliated by a national defeat, is drawn from his quiet retreat in the Colorado Rockies by a plot to hijack the 2044 presidential election. After corrupt parties close off his path to run to stop them, he resurrects the Bull Moose Party to pursue the White House. Piper soon discovers it will take more than the most votes to survive the election.
