udith Ford is a busy psychotherapist with three children when she becomes ill with a mysterious illness that lands her in the hospital for a summer. She recovers with the help of western medicine and a shamanic healer. Her rare disease will be diagnosed seven years later as Adult-Onset Stills Disease. Two years after Ms. Ford recovers both her parents begin their slide into their deaths and she finds herself dealing again with hope, despair, and how to live in the shadows of the unknown and the unanswerable.
