Otto H. Iglesias
Cuba, Your Children Cry/ Cuba, tus hijos lloran by Otto H. Iglesias is a memoir about one man’s journey to connect with his origins. Otto was born in Florida in the 1970s. He was always enthralled by his parents’ stories about their life in Cuba and having to flee their beloved country after the revolution.
He grew up with an insatiable curiosity about the island where his parents had lived. In November 2016, 46-year-old Otto made his dream come true and visited Cuba for the first time. With detailed, handwritten notes and maps from his parents, he set out with two friends to discover Cuba both as a tourist and as the child of refugee parents.
In 2018, Otto realized his dream of returning to Cuba for a second time with his parents and sister.
This book is also a winner in the Paris 2024 Book Festival Biography-Autobiography category.
