Rain is bullied every day. Standing up for herself hasn’t solved anything. Neither has avoidance or appeasement. A new student with
nowhere to turn, she is trapped. Normally, there’s little she could do.
But the world is different now. Dark entities and strange happenings once again frequent the periphery of human awareness, just outside of the light.
Rain is a part of this world, whether she likes it or not. Her classmates certainly won’t let her forget.
And it is this shadowy heritage that is also her last resort.
When the bullying turns violent and the violence turns ugly, Rain draws on her birthright and lashes out.
In the ensuing aftermath, horrified by her situation and by herself, Rain flees, attempting to escape her own demons, only to find herself pursued by another.
